The sculptures are traditional Blackfoot symbols for men and women. The man features the rimrocks and tee Yellowstone River, a sight enjoyed by both ancestral and modern indigenous people in the area. The woman depicts the billings skyline in the color of the rimrocks with a massive Tipi behind it.
